"My internship at Contact Mission Church of Christ this past summer was full of joy, growth, and love! Throughout the summer, myself and the other interns were blessed with opportunities to get to know the staff and members of the church, teach Bible classes on Sunday mornings, help with the Food Pantry, counsel at "Camp MO", lead groups during Camp Contact, and so much more! This summer taught me how to see every moment of my life as an opportunity to share the love of Christ! No matter what someone is going through, they deserve to have a place where they feel at home, and that is what Contact is for people! "The internship at Contact Mission Church of Christ evidently embraces their mission statement, that is, “Think Souls, Show Up, and Interrupt Lives for the Kingdom!” As an intern, I had the opportunity to build relationships with the communities around Contact, and I got to regularly visit some of the families I connected with. My capacity for loving people expanded this summer. Ephesians 3:18-19 discusses the love of Christ that surpasses our understanding, and I had the privilege of witnessing God revealing His incredible love to people in some difficult circumstances. I would not have traded the experiences from this summer for anything else. I am so honored to have served with such a humble and loving team."
