Reading at Camp

Reading at Camp

July was such a busy month because of Camp Contact!

During July we began with several very intense days of prep for Camp. We had to finish all the decorations and get all the little things that you forget about until the last minute finished. We were all so ready for Camp to start, but were also pretty shocked that it was time already!

Sharing the Love

Sharing the Love

I remember visiting Contact for the first time. I had come up with my youth group for a weekend trip. There were so many children running around that Sunday morning. I sat upstairs during children’s worship, several of the kids plopped themselves down beside me and quizzed me on who I was, where I was from, and why I was there.

No Stopping

I've been attending Camp Contact as a big buddy since eighth grade. I’ve been filled with endless amounts of love for my little buddy every year, but nothing could have prepared me for the love that I would feel for all the little buddies in my blue group! Being a Shepherd for a color group means that I get to lead twenty-two kindergarten & first grade boys for three weeks.

When I was a little girl I use to love singing this song, and as an intern at Contact this summer the lyrics have stayed on my heart. “Lord give me a missionary heart, though I’m young I want to do my part. To take your word to all the many children who have never heard, God so loved the world He gave His ONLY Son.
